Jim Exon received numerous awards from many organizations including honorary doctorates of laws degrees from Creighton University and Doane College.  He was also recognized by a wide variety of organizations ranging from the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion, to the Nebraska Wheat Board and Wheat Growers.  Jim Exon’s leadership and legislative accomplishments during his 18-year U.S. Senate career are legendary.
